Bikes on the Pier

One of my favorite things to do is go to the beach. We are lucky enough in Southern California to have beach access just about anywhere and any time we want. Here is a picture I took while on the pier waiting for a table at Ruby's. Ruby's is fortunate to have two locations at the end of piers. Balboa has one and so doe Huntington Beach. The food is no better on the pier than it is on mainland, but it sure is a lot more fun and scenic. Notice how the birds somehow missed the bikes, but really beat up that trash can.
One thing we learned while visiting the ocean, is that you should never look up for too long as you never know what's going to be flying over your head. We are thankful that Lindsay wasn't was with us on this trip or we would have sure gotten dumped on by a bird. There are more pictures of California over at flickr.
